In 2017, the future of the Delaware Coast Line Railroad had an uncertain future, in which the track from Harbeson, to Lewes, DE (A Length of 10 miles) was abandoned. In 2018, the DCLR had their contact awarded to the Delmarva Central Railroad. When December came, it was their last month. On Saturday, December 29th, 2018, the Delaware Coast Line RR , 1958 Era Alco T6; was moved from Milton, DE to Georgetown, DE. In which the DCLR would pass the Georgetown Train Station one last time. The DCLR had a few moves on the DCR Indian River Secondary back in years. But now it is over.
This gallery features a few photos of the DCLR Alco T6 Move. Read on for more info.

One for the history books. The Alco T6 passes by the Georgetown Train Station, this would be the last time this would pass by here for years to come.
At the DCR/DCLR wye, located near Airport, RD, and the Post Office, the Alco hooks up to General Electric loco C30-7 No. 4024. Also, the boxcar is was owned from another railroad. It is now DCLR 300. There was a Pilot on board to train, not the pilot you find on a plane, but a train. The engineers on the Alco was spoken to by the DCR pilot.

This move would now be a operation of the past. DCR will move this train, but at 2AM in the morning.
Thanks to Dan Herholdt, the DCLR owner, for all his service.
